How is a creators' payout calculated?

Payments to a creator are calculated depending on the content type given to you and the per-unit pay for each content type that is agreed upon by you at the time of your onboarding. You will be notified of the final payment amount and all the assignment(s) you've completed and are being paid for. You can review that and raise a ticket in case you have any billing-related issues or questions. We can be reached at support@peppercontent.in for the same.

If the content type involves a per word rate, the word count that was commissioned for the content piece multiplied by the per word rate gives us the payment for a specific assignment.

If there is a special project, it will be billed differently and will appear on the platform for you to review while accepting an opportunity.

What information does the platform need for releasing the payouts?

You need to make sure you update your payment details on the platform, which include your bank account details, account number, PAN card details (if you are an Indian resident). We will be unable to release your payout if the details are not filled in completely. Also, please make sure you fill in the details accurately and double-check after saving your payment details on the platform.

Do I need to create an invoice for the payment to happen?

You don't need to create an invoice for the payment because all the project submissions are handled by the platform and processed accordingly. Also, all the details are available on the platform where you can check submissions as well as their payment statuses to reconcile.

How can I improve my pay scale on the platform and how can I raise the same?

We have a periodic review policy, where based on good performance; we elevate the pay scale for certain creators on the platform. We are working on certain features where creators will be able to nominate themselves for pay scale increments on the platform and our team will be able to revert. Till then, you can write to us at support@peppercontent.in and we will get back to you.

When do payouts happen and through what means?

We currently have periodic 45-day payout cycles where we pay our creators on the following calendar days in the year - 15th February, 30th March, 15th May, 30th June, 15th August, 30th September, 15th November, and 30th December.

Payments are made directly through bank transfers only based on the details shared by you with us.

Will I get employee benefits while working with Pepper Content?

Pepper Content enters into a contractual agreement with all its creators and hence is not liable to give out benefits that are available to its employees.

Can a creator raise a GST invoice to Pepper Content?

As of now, creators don't have the option to enter GST details and get paid based on the same. We are in process of finding certain solutions to address the same soon.

Why is there a deduction in the final payout?

The final payout is made after a deduction of 0.75% in compliance with the statutory laws of the state and central government as TDS. You can claim these deductions when one files their income tax returns.

Will Pepper Content provide me Form-16?

Yes - Pepper will be providing you with form-16 to help you with your TDS deductions during your ITR filings.

Why are PAN card details required from the creators' end?

PAN card details are required for the platform to make sure that one can reclaim TDS (if one is an Indian resident) that is deducted from the creator payouts. Pepper Content makes TDS filings accordingly.

Will I get an additional payment for the reworks I perform?

Reworks happen when a creator misses out on details or does not follow the requisite instructions as per briefs. We don't pay extra for reworks and if there are reworks that are given that don't abide by the initial brief shared with you, payment for such assignments will happen separately.

Will I get payouts for assignments that show rejected as their status on the platform?

As mentioned in the contract that a creator signs when they get onboarded on the platform, if an assignment is rejected by the platform with defined reasons, the creators are not eligible for payouts for the relevant assignments. In case you have any major concerns around the rejection of a particular content piece, you can write to support@peppercontent.in
